WOW! What a Great turnout for our 50th Reunion

Friday(8/12/22) night we gathered at the Pettibone Resort for a relaxing, informal night of renewing old friendships and connecting with many of our classmates we hadn't seen since Graduation. The conversation filled the room with happy voices and laughter. We were so loud, no one even noticed there was music playing. The menu for Friday night was pizza and snacks. Must have been to everyone's liking because nothing went to waste. Always a good sign! Friday's attendance was 111 classmates and 45 guests. From all the happy faces we saw, everyone had a fantastic time.

Saturday(8/13/22) morning 32 of us gathered for a tour of Central, lead by Central's Principal Mr. Jeff Axness. At the beginning of the tour, Mr Axness told us he had keys to the entire building and he would let us into just about anywhere we wanted to go, and he did. We visited all three floors, both the old and new Gyms, Weight rooms, Cafeterias, Industrial Arts Shops, the Art Room, Library, and many classrooms. Of course, most of us searched the halls for our lockers, with some success. The tour ended at the School Store, which was opened for us. Combined, we spent a little over $250 on Red Raider clothing, hats, bags, and other paraphernalia. All in all, we had a great time and the tour sure brought back a lot of memories.

Saturday evening found us at The Cargill Room. While this was a more formal atmosphere, the fun started right where it left off on Friday night. And just like Friday night, conversations again filled the room with happy voices and laughter. We even got a look at one of the Mississippi River Cruise ships as it headed down river. The menu was more up scale with a wide variety of foods including shrimp, chicken, sliders, and other tasty items. Saturday evening's attendance was 105 classmates and 46 guests. To say we all had fun would be the biggest understatement since Dorthy told Toto "I don't think we're in Kansas anymore."

Head over to the Our History page for links to pictures from both nights.

Did you miss the 50th, don't fret about it!

Golf Outing?

In the comment section of the 50th Reunion Satisfaction Survey, someone expressed interest in a golf outing in conjunction with the 55th reunion. As the committee will be busy with other activities in preparation for the 55th, we are looking for interested volunteer(s), working independently from the Reunion Committee, to plan and organize this activity. Let us know your plans and we'll make sure to post the information here.
